Leaving at the end of the morning for Maralal taking the superb route that crosses the “countries” of Pokote and Samburu by skirting around the lake through the mountains of the North. This route offers wonderful views.

MARALAL - SOUTH HORR

Crossing the country of Samburu

Difficult route that enables us to go from the green mountains to the desert’s door.

Arrival at  Turkana Lake

Beautiful route and sumptuous arrival on the lake with settlement in a palm grove equipped with a thermal pool (volcanic hot water).

MONDAY

LOYANGALANI - LOYANGALANI

Meeting with the Molo’s ethnic group

Visit of Molo Bay village.Hiring of a small boat for fishing (it is not rare to succeed in getting a Nile perch). Walk in Loyangalani and meeting with the peoples.

Desert route in the country of Borana (Conchitique East)

The landscape is really particular and can be quite hostile.Crossing real plains of stones that gives an impression of lunar expedition.Eventual halt in a Borana village.

 Very early safari, then coming back for breakfast.Free time lunch, then a new departure for a safari is foreseen until the day draws to a close (it is forbidden to drive in the parks at night).
